Read Gracie's story - could you share yours?
Reading carers stories
We support thousands of carers across Surrey, including several thousand young people, who are helping to care for a disabled or ill sibling, parent or grandparent.
Gracie is one of these young people, supporting her sister. Now in her teens, she’s been a young carer since the age of 5, and caring is simply part of her life.
Gracie has kindly shared her story with us, on our Carer Story pages. Have a read and find out more about her life, her caring role, and the support she’s received from our young carers team at Action for Carers.
Can you share your story?
If you are a carer – of ANY age – we’d love to share your story too. You can send in a few words, and a picture (if you like), or we can give you a call.
Reading stories like this help carers by realising there’s other people out there facing similar challenges to them. It also helps supporters and the public better understand carers’ lives and the support we offer.
Please get in touch if you’d like to share! (We can also share anonymously.)
